What then do we need in a health care bill?
1) to preserve the private system.
2) tort reform.
3) insurance available to those who do not qualify for medicaid/medicare; possibly vouchers or a tax credit.
4) a program to educate and retain doctors, nurses, and other health care professionals.
5) Tax incentives to doctors who accept medicare/medicaid patients.
6) Tax incentives to Drug companies who give away/ sell at cost prescription drugs to those who cannot afford them.
7) Catastrophic coverage available to all through insurance companies, possibly backed by the government similar to FDIC for banks. (NOT SURE ABOUT THIS IDEA?)
Any ideas?
